Single Women in the Workforce

August 2017

While there are more single women in the United States today than ever before, the workplace had been slow to accommodate the needs of this growing population. According to the Women in the Labor Force: 2015 Datebook: 59% of women in the US (over age 16) are employed, and of these 67 million women, 74% work full-time. 54.3% of employed women are unmarried, and a good percentage of this population, is unmarried without kids.

This report seeks to highlight some of the needs of single women without children, in the workforce.
