Erin Waters is an educator and advocate for marginalized communities, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ population. After beginning her healthcare career in community clinics, she continues her work in non-profit healthcare for Kaiser Permanente, having served in various roles as a Community Health Navigator, Training Facilitator, and now as an Equity, Inclusion, & Diversity Consultant. She has served on the Board of Portland’s Q Center and is a current Board member at Basic Rights Oregon. Most recently, she was recognized by the Gay & Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest as a 2019 Queer Hero. Erin holds degrees in International Affairs and foreign language from the University of Georgia and Georgia Perimeter College respectively.
