Event Information

Celebrate Pride Month with Seramount! Join us for a program that will be equal parts inspiration and practical tips and tools to empower individuals, ERGs, and communities to do their best work.

This program will feature stories that amplify and uplift the efforts of individuals and employee resource groups working to support the LGBTQ community both at their organizations and in the communities in which they serve.

Who Should Attend

  • Employee Resource Group Leaders and Members
  • D&I Practitioners and Champions
  • HR and Talent Leaders
  • Business leaders committed to advancing LGBTQ talent

Participants Will Hear

  • A keynote from Patrice Palmer, who will explore intersectionality in the queer community as well as strategies to for transformative allyship.
  • Best practices from Equinix’s PrideConnect group, who have worked to create an inclusive culture and make Equinix a leading employer for the LGBTQ community by end of 2022. Some of their achievements include benefits changes that align their US benefits with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health; system changes to capture employees’ pronouns as a result of their “Pronouns Matter Campaign;” a Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity training that will be rolled out to people managers this year; an allyship guide translated in 9 languages; and a PrideConnect mentoring program specifically focused on our LGBTQ community, helping employees tackle unique professional hurdles and manage the authenticity gap in the workplace.

  • Strategies of success from Eli Lilly’s data-driven initiatives to accelerate change broadly and advance LGBTQ+ talent. Last year, Eli Lilly enhanced their internal voluntary Self-ID program which lets all employees share their sexual orientation and gender identity to help improve LGBTQ+ talent initiatives. A result of Self-ID is the creation of EMERGE, a CEO-hosted development program that enables safe learning within a like-identity environment to prepare LGBTQ+ employees for enterprise roles and responsibilities. They also have a Global LGBTQ Ally Program with 3,000 employees from 35 countries and a Global Reverse Mentoring Program with more than 150 leaders being mentored to date on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
