Allies are individuals who actively support and advocate for marginalized groups, even if they do not identify as a member of that group themselves. Including allies in employee resource groups (ERGs) broadens the reach and impact of these groups while promoting a more diverse and inclusive workplace culture across all levels of an organization.

Successful allyship involves taking meaningful actions to promote equity and belonging across the diverse workforce of an organization, which can happen on an individual level or across a company. The goal is to empower everyone to acknowledge and respect the unique identities of others to become active allies in the workplace.
