Loriana Hernandez-Aldama is a two-time cancer survivor, global healthcare advocate, award-winning journalist, and author of ‘Becoming the Story: The Power of Prehab.’ Her battles with AML leukemia, a bone marrow transplant, and breast cancer fuel her mission to address healthcare inequities and champion patient-centered solutions. As the founder of ArmorUp for LIFE, a women- and minority-owned nonprofit, she provides underserved cancer communities with critical resources to improve outcomes. Named among Cancer Health’s Top 25 Change Makers, Loriana also hosts the ‘Stage Free’ podcast, connecting patients and caregivers with oncology leaders to navigate treatment and make informed decisions. Her unique perspective—shaped by her work as a journalist, survivor, and Latina—drives her advocacy for diversity in clinical trials, equitable access to care, and the importance of prehabilitation.
