Seramount has been leading numerous discussions on how to address the big challenges of our times – political polarization, global conflict, social unrest, discrimination, and other critical issues – with colleagues. Participants will develop a toolkit on having civil conversations in the workplace with those with differing viewpoints by centering thoughtful dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared humanity in all interactions. Competencies that must be developed to address the current moment of divisions, including active listening, empathy, self-awareness, and emotional management, will be enhanced through this interactive session.
Upon completion of the session, participants will receive a badge of course participation.
