Above and Beyond Awards
Employee resource groups, their leaders, and allies deserve recognition for critical contributions they make to drive change in their workplaces and communities. The Above and Beyond Awards offer the opportunity for organizations to nominate outstanding groups and/or members of your organizations in six categories: Business Impact, Community Impact, Workforce Impact, Workplace Culture Impact, Valued Ally, and Affinity Group Leadership. Honorees are recognized at our annual EmERGe events throughout the year.
In addition to being recognized at our events, best practices from our Above and Beyond Award honorees are featured prominently throughout Diversity Best Practices’ content channels including our website, social media, insight papers, and research reports. Honorees are also sought-after speakers and presenters at our events as leaders in their space. All that to say, nominating for the Above and Beyond Awards is a fantastic way to shine a light on the important work your ERGs, their leaders and allies are doing to drive diversity and inclusion!
The nomination period for the Above and Beyond Awards falls in the first quarter annually with nomination forms going out at the end of January and due at the end of March. One winner and two honorable mentions are chosen in each category and all are recognized at the event. Nominations are reviewed by a panel of D&I and ERG subject matter experts, D&I practitioners and members of the Diversity Best Practices team. Notifications are sent out in early May and each winner and honorable mention receives ONE FREE registration to the EmERGe event of their choice (one per group).
