Maria Shaw

Maria Shaw is senior director, Program Management Office, Rapid Diagnostics, Abbott. In this role, Maria has galvanized large cross-functional teams for multiple high-profile programs, including manufacturing expansion for rapid COVID tests. She is passionate about influencing the culture of her workplace and is co-chair of Abbott’s Black Business Network.

Prior to joining Abbott, Maria held operations and engineering positions at General Motors and General Electric Healthcare. She served as the Operating Leader for GE Healthcare’s African American Forum and was the Recruiting and Retention Leader for General Motors’ African-American Engineering Network.

Maria is the Industry recipient of the 2022 Black Engineer of the Year Award in Professional Achievement. She has a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Marquette University.
