Kelly Copes-Anderson

Associate Vice President, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) for Lilly worldwide as of August 2021. In this role Kelly is responsible for globally advancing DEI outcomes, strengthening leadership capabilities, Lilly reputation management, and empowering innovation for future company success.  

Kelly has worked at Lilly for nearly 25 years, primarily in the commercial organization, and has held a variety of positions across the company including recent roles as Global Brand Leader, US Commercial Leader, Sr. Director Oncology Insights and Data Analytics. Kelly has been recognized for her ability to effectively lead diverse global teams, develop strategy, launch new products, deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges, lead change, and consistently exceed business results.  

Kelly received her BS in Chemical Engineering at Michigan State becoming a first-generation college graduate in her family. She also earned her MBA from Indiana University followed by the recent certification from the Harvard Business Analytics program in September 2020.  

Kelly is married to her husband of 24 years, Arvie Anderson and they have two boys Brenton (23) and Bryce (17).  Outside of Lilly, Kelly also serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Indiana as well as a former board member and long-term supporter of Easter Seals Crossroads.
