In April of 2021, the number of workers who quit their job in a single month broke an all-time U.S. record and this number keeps growing in what is known as the “Great Resignation.” Job seekers are now much savvier and care about organizations’ stance on social justice and DEI issues, the employer brand, and the diversity of the workforce. This presents a unique opportunity for talent acquisition departments to be intentional about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the new normal as they seek to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
