Malachi Hammonds is the Global Co-Leader for Verizon’s employee resource group Native Americans of Verizon. He lifts up the voices of American Indian/Alaska Native employees at the company while leading the employee resource group to promote digital inclusion, climate protection, and human prosperity within tribal communities around the country.

A 6-year veteran at Verizon, Malachi is an Analyst with the Enterprise Sales Operation team in the Verizon Business Group. He is responsible for supporting the large enterprise sales teams in the Retail/Hospitality vertical. Previously, he served as a Global Enterprise Advisor managing the relationships between Verizon, the State of Minnesota, other Federal Government Agencies and State & Local Municipalities.

Prior to joining Verizon Malachi worked as a Field Organizer for President Obama’s reelection campaign and Marylanders for Marriage Equality. He was responsible for the day to day operations in the campaign office and coordinating volunteer opportunities.

Malachi Hammonds is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina and currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and is active in the Native American community in Baltimore and back home. Malachi earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Morgan State University.
