Joy Hunt is a Registered Dietitian with Fresenius Kidney Care and Co-Chair of the Native American & Indigenous Peoples Employee Resource Group (ERG). A proud Lumbee Tribal citizen, she is passionate about advancing culturally responsive healthcare and improving health outcomes for Native and Indigenous communities. Through her work in clinical nutrition, community engagement, and ERG leadership, Joy helps foster meaningful connections between employees, patients, and the communities they serve. Outside of Fresenius, she actively collaborates with organizations including the Advancing Indigenous Science and Engineering Society (AISES), healthcare partners, and Indigenous communities across North Carolina to promote health, education, and community partnerships. She believes collaboration, cultural understanding, and authentic partnerships are essential to delivering equitable and patient-centered care.
