Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with us! Join us for a program that will be equal parts inspiration and practical tips and tools to empower individuals, ERGs, and communities to do their best work.
This program will feature stories that amplify and uplift the efforts of individuals and employee resource groups working to support Native Americans both at their organizations and in the communities in which they serve.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a live Q&A session with the speakers to gain the insights they need to further their own work.
Victoria Wright’s keynote, “Journey of a Reluctant Writer: From Finance to Fiction,” will explore her unusual journey from being a Senior Vice President at Bank of America to become a writer and the challenges that she overcame to be the person that she is today.
Wells Fargo’s Head of Native American Banking will share strategies of success from the work they do and how they are giving tribes the framework for economic diversification opportunities.
The President of the Indigenous Peoples Network at General Motors will share their talent pipeline and recruitment strategies, which include a partnership with GM’s Talent Acquistion to have a robust presence at the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) National Convention. Between October and December of 2021, they were able to extend 8 offers to Indigenous STEM talent from AISES. GM has been named a Top 50 Workplace for Indigenous STEM Professionals largely due to the efforts of the GM Indigenous Peoples Network. They will also share how they are building tribal relationships from their new IT skills-based training program for Indigenous vets & non-college bound women.
